Creative Conversations Talks About Nourishing Your Body Without Shame or Guilt

Color, Color, Color... we talked about so much but I guess I so resonate with this quote.. who else here can relate? Hayley Aileen loves to add color to her walls, the clothes she wears. It is a way that allows her to feel expressive. This is a personal thing but this quote stood out, " I hate white walls". 
 
Hayley is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Registered Dietitian in Los Angeles. She owns Hayley Miller Counseling which provides nutritional counseling and psychotherapy to people with eating disorders and trauma.
 
She uses an eclectic approach to treat clients using Brainspotting, art, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and traditional relational therapies.She works from a Health At Every Size framework which means she does not treat people differently based on size and believes people are healthy at every size. She rejects diet culture mentalities and helps people to nourish their bodies without shame or guilt.
 
Hayley loves working with people on improving their relationships with food and their bodies. She combines cognitive behavioral approaches with somatic approaches to help those achieve their goals while also noticing what the body is trying to tell them.
She connects with you on goals you would like to achieve while also noting any barriers that may come up.
Hayley feels called to this work because of her belief that everyone can recover from an eating disorder with a little help and support from providers.

Creative Conversations Explores Leaving a Job that Drains and Starting One That Creates Gains

Leslie Gaudet so inspiring to talk about loving yourself unconditionally, messy moments, the pause and the importance of it.
We don't have to be cookie cutter, not in the box There were many things said but this concept stood out to me, " Permission to explore". 
You ask yourself , " What am I capable of"? Face that uncomfort zone and have some fun.
 
Leslie Gaudet is a Mindset and Emotional Awareness Coach for women. She helps her clients achieve self-awareness around their emotional triggers through shifting their mindset so that they can make better decisions when they respond, which allows them to bring more balance, peace, and harmony into their life.
 
 
Almost 4 decades working as a Legal Assistant and Paralegal in the corporate world left her feeling emotionally and physically drained and that’s when she decided that in order for her to live a life she loves, she had to make some changes and those changes involved learning to love herself (without judgment or criticism), and that mindset is the key to everything because our mindset influences our thoughts and in turn our thoughts dictate our words and actions. These twin sisters are a powerhouse in their mission and what they put out into the world!
We talked about so much but love the topic of as adults we get so stuck in the adulting and put off what we really want by using life events to put off what we really want to do.
When we grow up we tend to stop playing.. so here is the reminder that Jacqueline McGill and Lorna Davies and I had about finding joy in the everyday things.

Lorna and Jac are twin sisters who have between them over 40 years’ experience working with children and their families. They share a passion for supporting all children to reach their fullest potential by harnessing their unique and special gifts. They have combined their knowledge, skills and expertise to create this special library of mindset books for parents and a coaching curriculum for teachers to share, so all children can be Wise for my Size.
 
Lorna is a children’s occupational therapist and life coach; she lives with her family and her dog in the west coast of Scotland. Through her work, and as a mother of two children, Lorna became aware of the importance of mindset when children face adversity and challenge; it’s the key ingredient to success. As an occupational therapist Lorna works with the medium of play and fun as the principal ‘occupation’ of childhood, and this led very naturally to developing a programme that uses stories, games and activities to teach valuable life skills to children and those young at heart.
 
Jac is a primary school teacher of twenty years and lives in Scotland with her family and mini Zoo! She has witnessed first-hand the impact that Mindset, both Growth and Fixed, can have. Through her teaching experience, she saw that some children just believe that certain lessons are just ‘not’ for them and they give up before they even begin.
 
By using growth mindset coaching techniques Jac is able to support children to realise their true potential, just by helping them change their mindset. Jac has always loved writing stories and she is passionate about supporting children build their mental strength through storytelling.
